Here are some excellent places to buy dishwashers that are either having a sale right now or that have prices so low that they couldn’t possibly put them on sale.

Here’s where I have always found the best deals to be hiding. Scratch and dent sales. Look locally for scratch and dent dishwasher sales too. Every appliance that I have bought for the last 10 years has come from one.

Options You Can Do Without
You can likely do without a number of pricey options and keep the price down to a more reasonable level. Eliminate these 3 and you won’t have to pay a premium.
- Stainless Steel Tubs
Most higher end models for sale have stainless steel tubs that will wear out much slower than plastic ones. The reality is however, that a plastic tub will likely outlast the dishwasher itself.
- Hidden Controls
Controls are moved from the face of the dishwashing machine to the top of the door where they can’t be seen when the door is in the closed position. This is not something I would be willing to pay a premium for if I was struggling to stay within a tight home remodeling budget.
- Specific Wash Cycles
Most dishwashers come with light, medium, and heavy wash cycles. Once you start adding in additional cycles like pot scrubber, china, sanitize, and steam clean you’ll start to pay more for options that you probably don’t need and will likely never use.
